There’s a saying that I found, which goes: “Nothing is so strong as gentleness, and nothing is so gentle as real strength”.

That saying could have been written especially for Michelle how we remember her.

    Extending deepest sympathy
For Sarah, Ben and Daniel in your loss.
Our heartfelt condolences to Vera, Carol, John and Leo with families.
And hoping too, that comfort and peace may come to you.

Our hearts go out to you and your family at this difficult time

Our family extend our sincerest sympathy to Michelle’s mother Vera, her siblings Carol, Leo and John, and her children Sarah, Ben and Daniel.

To add to what other friends have already said, which echo our sentiments, it seems that God has added a special touch to our precious memories of our dear friend, Michelle. In a more “normal” time Michelle’s funeral and burial service would have been a “packed house” with many friends spilling out the doors, so greatly and widely loved was she – yet just as she (like her sister), was quiet and unassuming – so too will be her humble funeral.

Few people have earned what we witnessed Michelle was blessed with: she was carried into eternity on a train of Holy Masses offered for her by Father Eldracher; an octave of them just prior to her day of passing, with the novena finishing off just after she passed. In addition to Requiems offered for her locally, Bishop Dolan in USA, from whom she was given much support and counsel during life, is offering a Requiem Mass for her on his Privileged Altar. The Good Shepherd looks after His own.

Our family have been greatly edified for many years by this valiant woman who bore her trials with a marvellous patience. We will continue to pray for the repose of her soul – and for solace to her grieving relatives. May God bless you all!

Condolences to Michelle’s children–Daniel, Ben and Sarah–and Carol. She, and her family will remain in our prayers.

It has been an absolute privilege to have known Michelle; her example of humility, generosity and charity to others will be what we remember her for.

It is said that as you live, so shall you die, and I think Michelle’s death is a fine example of this. Her life was centred on her Catholic Faith. She was rewarded with time to prepare for her end, and showered with graces from Masses that were offered for her in her final days.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
And may the perpetual light shine upon her.
    May she rest in peace,
    Amen.

It was a privilege to be able to join Michelle and Carol’s family – even remotely – in honouring her life, and to learn more of what a remarkable person she was. Her attitude towards life and death should serve as an example to us all. As a colleague of Carol, I offer my deep condolences and prayers to their families, and to all those who were so blessed by Michelle’s presence and will feel her absence so deeply. May God’s peace and strength rest upon you all.

  14. Francesca Hulme on 30 April 2020 at 5:18 pm

My heartfelt condolences to Michelle’s family and thank you for allowing us to attend her funeral. It was a lovely celebration of her life. I will always remember Mishy as a strong, softly spoken, determined woman of faith with the best smile and love of life. It was a absolute pleasure working with her at Dandenong and an honour to have her as a friend. Mishy was a blessing to us all and will be sadly missed.
