Funerals at Wattle Park Chalet are truly wonderful and provide our client families a special place in which to farewell their loved one. In fact it’s one of our favorite venues! In leafy Surrey Hills The Wattle Park Chalet was built in 1928 by the Hawthorn Tramways Board and has been a destination for various types of celebrations for more than 85 years.
Set in 137 acres of native Australian bushland, this heritage listed venue is the perfect place in which to Celebrate and honor the life of a loved one. The Chalet’s quaint Tudor style architecture and magnificent park and garden views are one of a kind, providing a unique and special atmosphere.

The Chalet also holds AV equipment to enable beautiful music and a memorable photographic tribute to be played during the service if desired.

More and more of our client families are expressing the desire to seek beautiful and alternative funeral venues in which to farewell their loved one. Wattle Park Chalet certainly provides exactly that and we continue to be exceptionally pleased with the high level of service and affordable prices that families choosing to use Wattle Park Chalet receive.
The Chalet grounds has a large area for parking, wheelchair access and can seat up to 200 guests or 300 standing, but is also perfect for smaller intimate gatherings. If desired, catering staff can provide a delicious assortment of foods at reasonable prices afterwards for those in attendance. We notice that the assorted sweet macaroons and sausage rolls always seem to be a firm favorite! A variety of beverages and/or beverage packages are also available.
